The Dining Hall at Oxford University was a huge source of inspiration for the Great Hall at Hogwarts. Many scenes from various Harry Potter movies were filmed around the Oxford campus, and it's easy to see why with the grand and beautiful architecture. There are no more Harry Potter movies or books to look forward to, but the magic lives on.

A popular Route 66 roadside attraction, the Wigwam Motel was transformed into the Cozy Cone Inn for Pixar's Cars. These structures actually are constructed out of concrete with a bed and complete bathroom inside. Classic American cars are permanently parked out front to give it a real nostalgic Americana feel.

Choo choo! The West Highland Line, also known as Hogwarts Express, is one of the most beautiful scenic journeys in Britain. The most famous section of the trip featured in Harry Potter movies is on the route from Glasgow to Mallaig, where the train crosses the Glenfinnan Viaduct.

This row of Victorian homes, famously known as San Francisco's Painted Ladies, are recognizable from television sitcom Full House, but they have been featured in more than 70 movies. They are located across the street from Alamo Square in San Francisco.

Zhangjiajie National Forest was the source of inspiration for James Cameron's Pandora in his movie Avatar. Pandora is most well known for its floating Hallelujah Mountains, which resemble the Chinese park's quartz-sandstone pillars.

The story of Downton Abbey follows the lives of the Crawley family as they navigate the quickly changing times in British aristocracy. Highclere Castle is the famous home used in the show and many of the scenes were filmed in and around the beautiful property.

Fans of the classic space saga can step right into Luke Skywalker's teenage home. The set, built in the Sahara desert, was left to stand after the filming of the movie. Locals have even turned some of the structures into actual housing units, storefronts, and storage units.

The Addams Family residence was inspired by the Hall of Languages located on Syracuse University's campus. The famous hall built in 1978, also has been used to represent the university in many forums including on the jerseys of its basketball team.
